Mounjaro is an injectable prescription medicine that is used along with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus or adults suffering from obesity with a BMI of 30 and higher or a BMI of 27 and higher who also have weight related health problems.

Mounjaro is a prescription-only medication, manufactured by Eli Lilly 

How does Mounjaro work?

Mounjaro contains an ingredient called Tirezepatide which helps to regulate blood sugar levels and reduce appetite to aid in weight loss.

Switching from Wegovy/Ozempic:

• If you are on a low dose of Wegovy (less than 1mg) you must stop treatment for 2 weeks before commencing treatment of Mounjaro
• If you are on a higher dose of Wegovy (more than 1mg) you must stop treatment for 4 weeks before commencing treatment of Mounjaro
